An inflatable fishing boat provides an inexpensive and quick way to get off the shore and go to where the fish are located.

A boat is a great way to pursue your passion for fishing, but boat ownership comes with a few downsides. First is just the initial expense of buying the boat. You can easily spend tens of thousands of dollars to get your perfect fishing boat. Give me a break! If you get a boat with a trailer, you might be able to keep it your house. However, if you live in a deeded community they may not allow. Many cities also have rules on where you can put your boat at your own house such as not being able to put in the yard. I'm sure your wife will be happy to give up her spot in the garage for the new fishing boat!

An inflatable fishing boat can solve these problems. First, a quality inflatable boat is very inexpensive to purchase as new compared to a fiberglass boat. You can afford to buy a new outboard motor or even an electric one to go with it without breaking the bank. Secondly, no worries about storage. The boat can be deflated quickly, rolled up, and stuffed into a small bag. It's amazing how small a space is needed to store the boat. When you are ready to use it, put the boat in your trunk and take it where you are going to use. Some of the inflatable boats can be setup in as little as five minutes!

Maintenance is another big expense when you own a boat. Many boat owners spend more time shopping for boat parts and fixing their boat and than taking it out fishing. Many specialty marine parts are hard to find and expensive. The inflatable boat that I have had for over twenty years has required minimal maintenance and expense. I've replaced the air valves, a few bolts that I found replacements for at the big box hardware store, and a piece of wood that I replaced with scrap wood from another project. I would be surprised if I've spent more than 50 bucks in all the time that I've owned it.

Portability is the one of the best factors for an inflatable fishing boat. When you go on vacation, you can easily take your fishing boat without having to pull a trailer across several states. You could even check it as baggage if you are flying somewhere!
